Cities all over the world have to cope with growing amounts of waste. It is a challenge to get and keep a city clean. Many years of experience have learned that there is not one best solution for waste management. The solution has to be found in knowing the situation of the waste in the city, the existing actors and a clear strategy.

Many cities in the South are working on projects with which they hope to solve the waste management problems in their district, region.
