The book gives practical guidance on the use of urine in crop production as a vital component of sustainable crop production and sanitation systems.

The book also includes guidance on how to start activities that will facilitate the introduction of new fertilizers to the agricultural community.

The text has been produced as a collaborative process within the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance Working Group 05 on Food Security and Productive Sanitation Systems. Stockholm Environment Institute has taken the lead in the authorship.

It is easy to read and informative, with examples from case studies and hints on further reading for those interested.
