This event aims to put commercial waste under focus from both the producer side as to what needs to be done and to demonstrate what the waste management and compliance sector can offer in terms of solutions.  Senior Defra official Roy Hathaway will outline the policy implications of the 2010 survey of commercial and industrial waste while Bob Gordon from the British Retail Consortium and Rhian Kelly from the CBI will explain how their sectors are tackling waste with recognition of the associated environmental issues.

Waste producers will be able to hear how local authorities and companies are actively tackling the commercial waste stream with plenty of opportunity to network and discuss best practice approaches.
