HELMEPA: Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association

HELMEPA is the joint initiative of Greek seafarers and shipowners who declared in 1982 in Piraeus that they voluntarily undertake the responsibility to eliminate ship-generated marine pollution and enhance safety at sea.

The Association provides a wide collection of publications related to the following topics:

  • Environmental Guidelines and Communication Brochures for the Maritime Sector, including guidelines on source-separation and suitable disposal practicesof shipboard materials  of shipboard materials.
  • Environmental Awareness and Communication tools for different stakeholders.
